This just in – the Alberta Government has announced that construction on the two new K-9 schools planned for the Keswick neighbourhood will begin in September 2020. Yep, you read that right. Now go ahead and jump for joy!
This news will excite residents and house hunters of the Keswick Landing community. The construction of these schools adds to the growing list of amenities in the area, and will undoubtedly strengthen the community experience. Keswick proves to be a distinct and important part of Southwest Edmonton. What better place to build your new home!?

While designs aren’t quite ready to share yet (bidding on the projects begins end of April), here’s what we currently know about the new schools:
- The Catholic K-9 school will be constructed at 1110 Keswick Drive SW. We can’t wait to have this community hub right in our neighbourhood!
- This Catholic school will have an opening capacity of 950 students and a budget of $31 million dollars.
- The public K-9 school will be constructed along 182 street and Keeping Way. This is just minutes away from Keswick Landing.
- This public school will have an opening capacity of 950 students and a cost estimate of $33 million dollars.
While school boundary information is yet to be released, we will provide an update as planning progresses.
